Career change for the new year?

The new year is in and you are ready for action.

The New Years resolution list is compiled, ready to be actioned.

An entry found on many people’s new years resolution list, is that of finding a new job or some form of career transition.

Before you embark on any change, it is worth taking some time out to understand why you want to make that change, especially when it involves the change of job or a transition of your career.

It is important to ask yourself, what is the driver here, alluding you to want change?

If you decide that a career change is is what you require, here are a few pointers to help you year get off to a positive start to get to that new career path:

a) Write down your goal, make it as specific and realistic as possible.

b) Be realistic with your expectations.

c) Look at it as often as possible, so that it becomes ingrained within you.

d) Be prepared and ready to experience times when you want to give up.

e) Ignore the thoughts of negative people, keep on moving.

f) Think positive, you’ll get positive.  Think negative, you’ll get negative.

g) Whenever doubt  creeps in read or watch something that inspires you to fuel your passion once more.

It’s easy writing goal/s for the new year, the true merit comes from continuing with them until you have completed them.    Don’t be the one who give’s up within the first few weeks of the New Year.

See this journey through, aren’t you worth that investment?
